Journey to Andalusia - Crossroads of 2 continents
One of our favorite road trips we took was the tour of Andalusia.
Starting from Seville we visited Jerez - Cadiz - Tarifa - Algeciras - Marbella - White Villages - Malaga - Granada - Cordoba. To enjoy it, allow a week for the trip. We went in summer to combine summer baths, but the beaches were the least good part of this tour and the heat was really excessive. So we would ideally recommend early autumn or late spring where you will find much cheaper tickets and accommodation as summer is high season.
We were impressed by:
1) Palaces - Castles and buildings with the Arab character having influenced them
2) Amazing food. Tapas at every corner and amazing charcuterie and wines. For us it was a culinary paradise
3) Night entertainment in all beach towns and Mediterranean temperament
4) Unique mountain villages that you can visit on one-day trips.
EXTRA TIP: Accommodation in the summer is expensive and parking is difficult in the big cities. We chose to stay a little outside of any big city since we had a vehicle.
